Goodbye Old World - Hello New World!

Driven to Schiphol in a really tiny car. But so were the last moments with Danny for the next 3 months very cuddly.
It is a good thing sitting in a wheelchair. There is no waiting time, you board first. Watched lots of movies during the flight, they served a few times something to eat and all the time drinking stuff.
We flew very north: Iceland, Greenland, Canada...
Such a flight takes 11 hours and now I am having a Jetlag. It is 1:30am here and I am awake. (Pacific time here)
We landed and it was rainy. It was very weird to get in. First woman checked me, send me after this to the immigration center, where the next officer checked me, and after that, when I got my luggage back, they controlled everything. But now I can stay here till end of August. But I felt guilty all the time.
Seen lots of snails and all looks here very similar and also completely different. Very Spanish-looking houses. In the supermarket there are lots of different milk types with all Vitamins you want (or even not). But this one here is not that huge I was expecting from hearing.
Windows in this house are not to open, unless you want to hear the alarm. 6 cats here are very nosy and cuddly for me.
Today we will go to a supermarket to buy stuff like sun crème (a bit understatement with all the rain here) and lots of cleaning agents.
I also will get a new cell phone. I am happy with any suggestion. At the moment I am thinking of an I phone or a Nexus-One or a HTC. Soon I also will have my own US mobile number. Give me a shout if you want to have it. With Skype and Facebook I am also available (and with the usual chat programs)
